Paul Davis is the new Project Manager, taking over the
position after Frank Lindsay’s departure. After
many years of productive management of the GLCF Frank
has moved on and we wish him well. Mr. Lindsay is now
working at NASA Headquarters in the Earth Science Enterprise
Program Planning & Development division, and can still
be contacted using his UMD email: flindsay@umd.edu.
Mr. Davis has a background in commercial remote sensing, earth science, history and geographical information science. Global Land Cover Facility operations will continue as usual. If you have questions for Mr. Davis regarding the GLCF please contact him at pdavis@umd.edu.
Products from the Global Land Cover Facility were on display at the Neighborhood Design Center’s “Community Building by Design” benefit on April 24, 2003. The GLCF staff were pleased to support this important non-profit organization in this manner, demonstrating the use of imagery at both the global and local scales. With former Governor Parris Glendening and many politicians and volunteers from Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties in attendance, the Neighborhood Design Center was given recognition for its many services to Maryland communities, and awards were presented to critical supporters. |
