GLCF and DeLorme exchange spatial data and products

The Global Land Cover Facility has exchanged spatial data and software with the DeLorme company, a leading mapping and spatial technologies company located in Yarmouth, Maine. GLCF provided DeLorme with Landsat GeoCover imagery covering much of the world. DeLorme provided GLCF with distribution hardware and a generous set of software and tools. GLCF has integrated DeLorme's mapping technologies internally and has provided duplicates to the University of Maryland Geography Department's Cartography program, to assist mapping classes with their superior products. The list price for the DeLorme mapping materials is over $4,600. GLCF and UMD Geography appreciate this gift from DeLorme.
